On Friday, April 18, 2025, GREAT Institute welcomed Utkarsh Saxena, a PhD candidate at University of Oxford and Co-Founder & CEO of Adalat AI, together with senior representatives from Bandung Trust Advisory Group (B-Trust) led by Siswanda Harso Sumarto. The event was presented as the first GREAT Lecture.

The session was attended by GREAT Institute’s leadership, including Syahganda Nainggolan as Chair of the Board of Directors, Wahyono Suparno as Vice Chair of the Advisory Board, Sudarto as Executive Director, Khalid Zabidi as Communications Director, and lawyer Firman Mulyadi. The discussion was moderated by political researcher Omar Thalib.

During the lecture, Utkarsh presented Adalat AI, an AI system specifically developed for judicial institutions. The platform is designed to reduce administrative burdens in courts through tools such as real-time legal transcription, document automation, and case workflow management. It has already been deployed in several courts in India, where it has been used to help reduce delays and minimize human error in judicial processes.
